MAC Panel Corporation with the assistance of Raytheon, Medtronics and National Instruments, has developed a wireless approach to mass interconnect for PXI applications, thus eliminating the cable assemblies between the instruments and the receiver modules. 

The “Scout” system offers:

  • Shielding and grounding between the modules and the PXI instruments
  • Better signal paths from the UUT to the instrument resources
  • Lower cost of ownership
  • Adapts to both National Instruments and Pickering 18 slot chassis
  • Easier maintenance and repairing of system
  • Complete sets of circuit boards are available for most PXI instruments
